Evening of Epic Cycling

Fund raising event at Queens Hall, Hexham: Jenny Graham on cycling around the world unsupported in 124 days, plus The Great Alpine Chain Route by MTB, The Great North MTB Trail and Local & Regional cycle route info.

The Great Alpine Chain Route

Since 2004 Ted has been researching and annually leading a group of keen mountain bikers along a linear Alpine route for mountain bikes which he calls The Great Alpine Chain Route by MTB. This epic journey was completed in 2019.

The Great North MTB Trail (2019)

This 800 mile continuous bridleway has been initiated by Cycling UK. Ted’s role is to coordinate Kirkby Stephen to the Border at Kielder with a link to Newcastleton.

Reivers off-road Cycle Route (2019)

Re-align the original route where necessary; waymark the entire route, raise sponsorship; design a new style route map; compile a new website – the latter being ongoing.

Kielder Forest Gravel Bike Trail Network (2018)

Forestry England - Survey and design a 200km network of routes in and around Kielder Forest suitable for gravel bikes; prepare an EOI funding bid now awaiting confirmation.

4 Cycle Routes in Kent (2019)

Bore Place Visitor Centre working with Kent CC - Survey and implement 4 cycle routes in the Kent Wolds - completed.

Kielder Forest Area Gravel Bike Trails Network (2020)

Forestry England - Survey and design a 200km network of routes in and around Kielder Forest suitable for gravel bikes; prepare and cost an implementation strategy.

Revitalising Redesdale Landscape Project (2020 - 2021)

Identify route blockages; coordinate repair; secure funding and support reparation – ongoing.

33 Excellent Cycle Routes in Northumberland & Beyond (2021)

Compile content designed for gravel bikes, easy MTB and suitable ebikes for publication in June 2021.
