The Great Alpine Chain Route

Since 2004 Ted has been researching sections of a linear Alpine route for mountain bikes which he calls The Great Alpine Chain Route by MTB.

The Great North MTB Trail (formerly the Length of Great Britain Off-Road Trail)

This 800 mile continuous bridleway has been initiated by Cycling UK. Ted’s role is to coordinate Kirkby Stephen to the Border at Kielder with a link to Newcastleton.

Kielder Forest Gravel Bike Trail Network (2018)

Forestry England - Survey and design a 200km network of routes in and around Kielder Forest suitable for gravel bikes; prepare an EOI funding bid now awaiting confirmation.
